Our lives may seem very different from the lives of poor women a world away. But all of us are increasingly interconnected through trade, global problems and shared aspirations for a better life for ourselves and those we care about. Here are some simple ways for you to connect with your friends, family and community around issues of world poverty.

  • Volunteer.
    There are so many organizations working to help end world poverty. Click here to connect with the right opportunity for you.
  • Start a book club.
    Visit www.book-clubs-resource.com for hints on how to get started. Then, include one or more selections about global poverty. Try one of these:
